Mid-Week Update (3/10 – 3/14)

Hello Everyone!

A couple updates:

1. The coaching staff are aware that sometimes games are listed differently in different places (Tandem, WSLA, etc.) – changes there may not always reflect immediate changes as they rely on coaches reaching out to third parties to update websites and waiting for that to be done. WSLA is the official schedule when it comes to when and where games are but the coaches are still trying to pencil in home games at Roy Anderson. Please check the shared calendar and trust that coaches will update people with changes as soon as we have more information. Things are still in the works and there are a lot of moving pieces. 
   • With that being said, here are some game updates for right now:
     • Tuesday – 3/18 – JV vs. Stadium @ Roy Anderson  @ 5:00 PM w/ Arrive Time of 4:15
     • Tuesday – 3/18 – Varsity vs. Stadium @ Roy Anderson @ 7:00 PM w/ Arrive Time of 5:50
       • Though JV is encouraged to arrive early to cheer on JV
     • We are working on shifting the 4/10 varsity game against Lakeside to Roy Anderson on 4/11 – just waiting to hear back from the other coach and working with WSLA
     • We are also shifting the 5/1 JV & Varsity Games against Graham Kapowsin to be played on 5/2 at Roy Anderson as well – just sending stuff in to the scheduler at WSLA
2. Girls were told yesterday at practice that there is NO PRACTICE THIS FRIDAY on 3/14. With us not having school, and a large number of players telling the coaching staff in advance that they will not be there, we have decided to take the day off. 
3. On Monday, (3/17) players need to show up to practice with their uniforms and we will take a team photo for the yearbook.  The due date for the yearbook pictures are 3/19 for GHHS. We are still working on booking with Christi Adams for official team photos and will most likely be taking photos on April 1st.
4.  I am still working with the WSLA Scheduler to give us JV games to make up for the one we lost and working with other local south sound teams to add potential scrimmages – please stay tuned
5. Unfortunately, I received an email today that we will not be able to get a shuttle bus at this time for the early practices to GHHS due to transportation issues (drivers out sick and buses broken down). I have asked to please be notified immediately if something changes and will of course pass this information on to you.

Thank you everyone and a special thank you to Chad, Andrea & Kurt for helping with lining the field today.  I am planning to still send “two weeks at a glance” out on Sunday as well.
